Exhibition at TRUCK (Calgary,AB) opens September 7th
The Options That Are Offered To Us: The Least Likely / The Most Tolerable
TRUCK Gallery Main Space - The Grain Exchange (Lower Level) - 815 1st Street SW, Calgary, Alberta, Canada
The Options That Are Offered To Us: The Least Likely / The Most Tolerable is an immersive
installation in two parts, using the architectural elements delimiting the space of the
gallery to articulate multiple streams of thought through simple formal play.
Using the screen printed poster as matter and for its topographical marker qualities,
this work, and much of Yannick Desranleau and Chloe Lum's installation work as Seripop,
ignores traditional hanging conventions and tries to articulate the work and the space containing
it as one sentence, regardless of its semantics.
The exhibition runs September 7 to October 4, 2012.
